Collector's Notes

The Speedmaster has been part of all six lunar landings. This Omega watch marks the 50th anniversary of the first, limited to 6,969 pieces. The 42mm stainless steel case pairs a black ceramic tachymeter bezel with an 18K Moonshine Gold outer ring, a proprietary alloy Omega developed for its warmer tone. The step dial runs grey-to-black, with a 9 o'clock subdial bearing a laser-engraved image of astronaut Buzz Aldrin descending the lunar ladder. The METAS-certified Calibre 3861 powers the Speedmaster Apollo 11 310.20.42.50.01.001 for 50 hours. Few anniversary editions earn the reference this sincerely.
