Rolex Oyster Perpetual 114200

The essence of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual has always been true to a universally classic style. The Oyster Perpetual is a true embodiment of a timeless form and function, firmly rooted in the pioneering origins of Rolex. Although many watch collectors consider the “OP” as a starter Rolex it's more than what meets the eye.

The “OP” 114200 has a modern muted green dial on a 34mm caseback that feels larger than it is, seemingly due to its dial design being finished so close to the edge of the case. Further accentuating the size of the dial, this watch features a modest rehaut and smooth bezel that slopes down toward the crown at the 3. The absence of a day/date gives this model a perfectly symmetrical look. The dial contains simple hour markers capped with orange squares that provide contrast, satisfying the senses. The hour markers are luminescent, making it an easy read at night which was not available in previous versions.

Let’s move on to the bracelet of the “OP”, it is stainless steel also known as the Oyster bracelet. You will find a Rolex motif embossed on the clasp which is different than other models such as the Datejust. This engraved motif prevents damage or eroding of the Rolex symbol. This watch could be considered unisex at the above-mentioned 34mm case back. A perfect entry piece that will remain relevant for years to come. This reference has since been discontinued.
