A. Lange & Söhne are recognized for their mechanical movements, superb utility, and Avant Garde precision. The brand is a standout in elegant dress-watch making, complicated chronographs, and off-center perpetual calendars. The Lange 1, 191.028 is a future classic due to its one-year production and discontinuation.
In 2017, the Lange 1, 191.028 was one of four models coined the “blue series”, the blue dial was a trending feature at the time in horology. The untraditional choice of Lange & Söhne to produce a blue dial face has made this model extremely rare, due to its lack of visibility in Lange & Söhne's overall collection. The 2017 model is a renewed edition to the 1997 Lange 1 reference 101.027. A few noteworthy features include a thinner bezel and fonts in comparison to its predecessor, and a different movement, L.12.1. The blue dial is comprised of silver and gold appliques and hour markers, and the hands made up of rhodium gold. The dial is uniquely identified by its off centered dial design and double window date display.
The Lange 1, 191.028 simple yet distinctive, commands the respect of collectors and watch enthusiasts alike.
